Jakarta, July 20, 2026 – The Karate Student Activity Unit (UKM Karate) of Universitas Dian Nusantara (UNDIRA) has once again brought pride to the university by delivering outstanding performances at the International Open Karate Championship "Esa Unggul Cup VI 2026," held at GOR Ciracas, East Jakarta, on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

This year's prestigious and highly competitive championship embraced the theme "New Champions Generations, New Legacy," reflecting its commitment to nurturing the next generation of elite karate athletes. The tournament attracted approximately 1,200 athletes representing renowned dojos from across Indonesia as well as several countries, including Malaysia, Sweden, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, and Thailand, making it one of the most competitive international karate events in the region.

After advancing through a series of challenging rounds, two representatives from UNDIRA's Karate Club successfully demonstrated that dedication, perseverance, and disciplined training always yield meaningful results. Their remarkable achievements at the International Open Karate Championship Esa Unggul Cup VI 2026 once again showcased the university's commitment to excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities.

The athletes who proudly represented Universitas Dian Nusantara were:

1. Tegar Adriansyah Satriadji, a student of the Communication Studies Program, who earned Third Place (Bronze Medal) in the Senior Men's Individual Kata category.

2. Deby Valencia, a student of the Management Study Program, who secured Third Place (Bronze Medal) in the Senior Women's Kumite Under 55 kg category.

The accomplishments of these two UNDIRA athletes serve as a powerful reminder that hard work, discipline, and perseverance never betray those who remain committed to their goals.
